All of us need a break, especially in the summer!

One Friday a month this summer, Fountain Square hosted crazy contests that let people do something they never thought they'd do, such as tossing fish to coworkers, dressing up like Marilyn Monroe or seeing who can eat the most cheese coneys in three minutes.

We ended the "Freaky Friday" series in 2009 with the classic Water Balloon Toss. Twenty-three teams of two challenged others in this age-old game.

The toss was the traditional distance challenge, with players in two parallel lines tossing a water balloon across a short space that grew longer as the game continued. If the balloon broke, they were out! Winners of the first and second heat included John Hartman & Mark Fisher, Raja & Greg Webster, Steve Garcia & Vince DiMuro, and Keith Degreen & Brian Ratford. They "tossed-off" for the top prize of $50, Donato's coupons, and Super Soakers.

While the water balloon toss was in action, KeyNote Equity had another contest going. Anyone who tossed a water balloon in a bucket on the first try were entered into a drawing to receive a FREE IPOD. Congratulations to Tammy Jury of National City for being the lucky winner!
