To mark the end of summer, we turn Fountain Square into a beach! We cover the plaza with tons of sand and add water features, sand volleyball courts, and life guard chairs.

Bands perform on Friday evening, and attendees enjoy a clambake with cold, refreshing beverages. On Saturday, the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) puts on an exhibition match during the day, and beach movies light up the video screen in the evening. Sunday and Monday feature more of the same activities, entertainment, and time to relax on Cincinnati’s temporary beach.

Foot traffic through downtown is very high on Sunday because of Riverfest and the WEBN Fireworks. More than 500,000 people attend every year.
