The 2008 coney eating contest is sponsored by Camp Washington Chili.

In August 2007, under a hot midday sun, fifteen contestants (all men) bravely accepted the challenge to stuff as many cheese coneys into their mouths and stomachs as they could in three minutes. Scores ranged from just a few dogs to the winning tally of nine. In a close race that required a judge's decision, Tony Griffin was declared champion.

The 2007 event was sponsored by Skyline Chili and hosted by Jim Scott of WLW. Skyline sold its Extreme Cheese Coneys during the lunchtime event.
