Twelve hungry contestants will compete to see who can eat the most Camp Washington Chili cheese coneys in three minutes. Paul Hall ate nine cheese coneys in three minutes to win the contest in 2008. In true "Freaky Friday" form, the coney eating contest will feature an Elvis impersonator courtesy of Hollywood Casino. Camp Washington Chili will also sell coneys on Fountain Square during the event, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Contestants must pre-register online by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20. PNC Summer Music Series
The popular PNC Summer Music Series returns with seven free music events every week! New for 2009 is World Wide Wednesday, an evening of music from all over the world. Hear country, soul/R&B, gospel, salsa, acoustic/folk, singer-songwriter, and indie rock - all free in the heart of the city. Strauss & Troy Market on the Square
The first year of the Strauss & Troy Market Market on Fountain Square was a great success! Hundreds of visitors every week enjoyed shopping for fresh produce, baked goods, prepared lunch foods and beverages, fresh flowers and distinctive handmade items. Look for even more vendors and an extended schedule in 2009. The Market is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays from June through September. bigg's Family Days on Fountain Square
bigg's and Fountain Square Management are partnering with children’s organizations from all over the Tri-State to create a special, FREE weekly event for children 10 and under.
At 2 pm, everyone will enjoy a half-hour live performance by one of Cincinnati's best children's entertainers. Zak Morgan, David Kisor, "Miss Joanie" Whittaker, and Joel Caithamer are highly skilled entertainers who will have kids (and parents) laughing, dancing, and singing along.
