New Year's Eve

December 31, 2008

Cincinnati rings out the old and rings in the new with free ice skating, DJ music, and a video countdown on the big screen. At the stroke of midnight, fireworks explode over Fountain Square to welcome the New Year.

In 2007, Fountain Square hosted Team Lachey, the all-volunteer, all-amateur choir that represented Cincinnati and won NBC's wildly popular "Clash of the Choirs" reality show in December. The choir wowed the crowd on Fountain Square by performing "Flight of the Bumblebee" and "What a Wonderful World."

Special thanks to 2007 title sponsor Duke Energy. Free ice skating was made possible by Strauss & Troy, a Legal Professional Association.

This event is not yet funded for 2008. To discuss possible sponsorship, contact Bill Donabedian at bdonabedian@3cdc.org.
